The Poem: Kashmir
Wounded Pigeons, Nightangles at stake; spring has got none to praise.
The blood red roses and blue lavender, all molested to dirt mucky: when last did I cry.
( Zaid Zaz )
Distressed sobs I hear, in the dark lane, I see the common man, suffer in pain.
Abused and assaulted, He cries in a corner, thinking eerie: when last did I cry.
( Ishfaq Khaliq )
Smoke from the canister chokes my eyes.
Yet I have defiance in my hand and inside of me,when last did I cry.
( Adnan )
Tomorrow sun shall rise again, with radiance of our resistance.
For that tomorrow I fight today, fight them till I am free: when last did I cry.
( Ambar )
Before the dusk takes over, and the dale turns red, I look for a shelter, in the arms of my mother.
And when I look in her eyes ,black corals of dark sea: when last did I cry.
( Sidra Nazir )
Blood grouts the 'holes' in my eyes.
Unable to see; When last did I cry !!!
( Omar Rafique )
I smeared blood over window pane to make it a mirror.
The mirror was complete but the eyes couldn't see:when last did I cry.
( Abhen Bhatt )
Pelleted bag of bones, giving way to the cadaver; Impelled breaths, breathing for the breathless.
Alarming slogans, peppered streets. The rose departed for her roseate eyes never to see: when last did I cry.
( Shah Sabia )
When dreams are shattered and pellets rain, the darkness seizes innocent lives.
When the barbarians are medalled as saviours, justice turns blurry: when did I last cry?
( Shaikh Owais )
Why you fear my separation so much, O land of Iqbal's dream.
Under the shadow of a bloodied moon, you could have asked me: when last did I cry?
( Talha )
